The 7th Limassol Boat Show, held at Limassol Marina from 18 - 21 May 2023, concluded with incredible success was without doubt the most popular and successful event of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean hosting a record 40,000 visitors and boasting unprecedented commercial outcomes. The event contributed significantly to placing Cyprus on the global yachting map, attracting extraordinary international interest from visitors and journalists across Europe, Asia, and many other parts of the world, all of whom visited the island exclusively for this event.
Visitors to Limassol Boat Show had the opportunity to enjoy the latest in yachting, water sports, recreational fishing, diving, product displays, a marine environment information centre and marine demonstrations. An exclusive range of luxury yachts were also on show at the event this year, and for the first time in the Eastern Mediterranean, courtesy of more than 120 exhibitors from Cyprus, Greece, Great Britain, Israel, Lebanon, the USA, and Finland. Stealing the performance were the yachts combined value exceeding €90 million and their uber luxury exterior and interior design aesthetics, captivating the audience and creating an unparalleled atmosphere.
Special mention should be made of the ‘Limassol Boat Show Conference: Cyprus, the new yachting hub of the East Med’, which was organised and hosted for the first time within the framework of the show. The conference marked a massive success, made possible by exceptional speakers who offered new information and insights on the future of the yachting industry in the Eastern Mediterranean, with a focus on Cyprus and Limassol Marina.
Also, exhibited for the first time in Cyprus at the Limassol Boat Show 2023 was a series of luxury cars and supercars, by the company E-Cars Group, the platinum sponsor of this year's Exhibition. A unique presentation of the Maserati Gran Turismo and the Bentley Bentayga elevated the experience for all car enthusiasts in attendance.
The 4-day show was further elevated by a unique artistic performance by the band “Fortissimo” who entertained visitors with electronic music vibes; a special live performance by the jazz group “The Jazz Lounge Project”; and uplifting music by DJ Asimenos and DJ George Berek.
In his statement after the event, the Director of organising company Dacor Advertising & Media Ltd, Mr. Aristos Aristidou, said, "This was by far the most successful Marine Show that has taken place not only in Cyprus but also in the greater Eastern Mediterranean region, not only from our point of view, but also that of dozens of representatives of major shipyards who compared the Limassol Boat Show with other large Boat Shows abroad. We are incredibly proud of the positive results experienced by the exhibitors at this year's Limassol Boat Show, and the unique experience enjoyed by global visitors."
On behalf of Limassol Marina, the General Manager, Mr. Nikiforos Pampakas, stated: "It is a fact that our primary goal, which was to establish the Limassol Boat Show as the most sought-after international exhibition of leisure boats in the Southeast Mediterranean, has been completely achieved! International recognition of the show emphasizes the potential of the exhibition in contributing significantly to the consolidation of Cyprus on the world map of leisure boats and in the development of the industry at a local level. The challenge now is to stay on the steps of success and for each event to be better than the last."
