Our team, recently had the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive two-day training session at Weber Marine & Offshore in Oslo, Norway. As long-standing users of Weber’s products in our marine insulation works, this visit was an important step towards deepening our technical expertise and expanding our cooperation.
The Training
Which took place on October 2nd and 3rd, covered both theoretical and practical aspects of Weber’s insulation systems, allowing us to gain a more detailed understanding of applications that are crucial to our current and future projects.
A60 Floating Floor & Sound Damping Systems
The first day was focused on A60 floating floor systems and sound damping solutions. This was an essential part of the training as we are looking to enhance noise reduction and vibration control in our marine environments.

Weber’s advanced solutions were explained in great detail, offering us new insights into how these systems can be applied to achieve better soundproofing and fire safety on vessels.
VEM PU-1 & VEM PU-10 & Epoxy Coating Systems The second day was dedicated to the application of VEM PU-1 for floors, VEM PU-10 for bulkheads, and epoxy coating systems. These products are integral to achieving the high standards required in marine construction. The practical session gave us hands-on experience with the viscoelastic products, particularly on how they enhance sound absorption and acoustics of marine vessels. Additionally, we explored Weber’s epoxy coating systems, which are essential for providing protection against corrosion and wear in marine environments. This component of the training deepened our understanding of how epoxy solutions can be applied effectively to improve the long-term performance of marine structures. The training was an invaluable experience for our team, helping us take a bigger step in strengthening our cooperation with Weber Marine & Offshore. Their hospitality and the fruitful discussions we had during the sessions were highly appreciated, and we are excited about the enhanced capabilities we can now bring to our marine insulation works.
