Fast and Durable Sails

KakitsiSails manufactures sails for racing (both simple club racing and racing at the highest international level), cruising and chartered boats. We also manufacture custom made sails for any type of other traditional boat.

Each category has its own particular characteristics and demands. At KakitsiSails we have always been still are aiming to optimize each and every sail for the boat and use it is intended.

We are especially proud for both the performance and the endurance of our sails that have been tested in all conditions throughout the waters of Europe.

Along with John Kakitsis own personal experience as a sailor and 35+ years sail designer, we make use of the most up to date software and modern research to ensure that the design of ours sails best suits the sailing boat and the use for which they are intended.

We only use very high quality sailcloth (Dacron, Dacron +, Pentex, Kevlar, Carbon, spinnaker cloth) manufactured by Dimension-Polyant of Germany and Contender Sailcloth of Netherlands. We only use top quality sail hardware, to ensure performance and endurance.     

We offer very competitive prices both for professionals and individual boat owners. Especially as far as professional customers are concerned we are able to offer exceptionally competitive prices, scalable according to numbers ordered, keeping the highest quality standards and sticking to delivery dates agreed upon.

Square Top Main

This year KakitsiSails designed and constructed the Square Top Main which allthe boats which had such a sail did not lose a regatta. Afroesa a Sun Fast 3200 won overall Ionian Regatta, Kyklades Race and all other races the it completed. The sail was made of Carbon-Lite-Skin with a new Jib with the same material (form Dimension-Polyant).
