Without doubt the first boat in Jetten’s Beach series is unique in the yachting industry. First of all, it is made of aluminium rather than fiberglass, an unusual material choice for a yacht this size, but one that will ensure longevity and ruggedness. The new 45’s fit and finish is exceptional, from the large cockpit with its teak floor and white lounges to the open-plan interior, with stained wood floors, glass panels in the ceiling, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The two-stateroom layout below also includes a full galley and dinette. Jetten Shipyard calls this new series “the Beach”, but the rugged hull and superstructure would be ideal for testing into the waters of any region (tropical or temperate).
Surely the biggest secret on this boat is its proprietary hull fast displacement hull design by Van Oossanen(Naval Architect and Construction), which delivers a highly respectable top end of 22-plus knots at very low hp. Jetten says the boat will consume up to 20 percent less fuel than similar-sized yachts with its twin 140-hp Volvo D4 engines. Jetten Beach 45 has four interior design choices: Contemporary Taupe, Modern Beach 1 & 2, and Sophisticated Gray. The new Jetten Beach 45 could well push other custom shipyards building yachts in that size range to adopt new materials and hull designs.
