Tuesday 25 June, the Monaco Yacht Show started its final countdown with a cocktail reception in the ephemeral garden of Monte Carlo.
In an atypical and charming garden underneath the terraces of Casino de Monte-Carlo, a hundred guests - local partners and exhibiting companies, private clients of the MYS – met up to discuss their participation in this September’s show.
The occasion for Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the MYS, to unveil the actions to enhance the visitors’ experience at the show. The Upper Deck Lounge – the show’s exhibition and catering area - will be completely refitted on two floors with a luxury exhibition, a Champagne bar, a restaurant and a VIP lounge with a panoramic view on Port Hercules. The show will have new opening hours from 11am to 7.30pm. The goal is to offer a timetable that corresponds better to the visiting times preferred by private clients.
“We work to offer the most prestigious superyachting event to the new generation of customers,” she confirmed; “Our responsibility is to offer our visitors an entertaining and instructive plunge into the world of superyachting, while serving the interest of the industry. In other words, to encourage encounters between final clients and the best players in the market.”
During the evening, guests also discovered the 2019 issue of the show’s yearly official summer magazine. The publication features a wide preview of the MYS, a preliminary selection of the luxury vessels that will make their worldwide debuts and superyacht lifestyle reports.
This 29th edition promises to break new records: the 125 awe-inspiring superyachts on display will be the longest fleet ever exhibited (combined linear metres). A unique show that gives future buyers and charterers their first taste of the superyacht experience.
