Enrico Gobbi’s Team For Design has teamed up with Italian yard Rossinavi to present a 50 metre superyacht concept.
A key feature of the Alfa 50 design is the supersized beach club that takes over the whole aft end of the automotive-inspired yacht.
“A beach club in a 50 metre [yacht] is a very small area – and [guests] cannot use it when it is closed,” said Gobbi.
“So we completely opened the stern,15 metres in different levels that you can arrange as you want.”
While the swim platform hinges up to protect the area during navigation, it leaves open the majority of this two-deck space with its glass-fronted pool, and great views both port and starboard.
The low, muscular design recalls many details inspired by Alfa Romeo cars, such as the steel grille on the prow, which recalls “an old sports coupé”
While the Alfa 50 yacht remains under 500GT, the gross tonnes lost by opening up the stern are regained in the slightly expanded hull, while large windows ensure that the interior spaces are flooded with light.
The extraordinary owner’s cabin meanwhile, features balconies on both sides, as well as access to a private main deck lounge on the bow. With the hull under construction, the project is ready-to-go for an owner who loves the open air.
