Berlin-based yacht designer Theodoros Fotiadis has recently introduced the global explorer concept Stormbreaker. Conceived to be able to travel to the world’s most remote locations, Stormbreaker is ready to be built at 90 or 115 metres and will be for sale with Jim Evans, founder of SuperYachtsMonaco.
As described by Jim Evans, motor yacht Stormbreaker showcases razor-sharp exterior lines and “is the next level of go-anywhere explorer. The concept incorporates all the elements that thrill and solace-seeking clients look for; a tough exterior, an attention-grabbing design, a bottomless toy chest, efficient propulsion, long-range capabilities and the highest level of connectivity.”
Stormbreaker intends to redefine the boundaries of technological innovation with a fully integrated and interactive audio-visual experience by Icon Connect, which will be able to record and broadcast live footage from the outdoor surroundings. Another key feature, the complex glass atrium, is located at the heart of the ship.
Additionally, a high-tech communication system with high-bandwidth internet connection will be available so that the owner can stay connected even when they are off the grid. Designed to withstand even the most extreme weather conditions, Stormbreaker will feature a large tender garage able to house smaller boats or a submarine, a beach club, a spa and gym complex, a cigar lounge, an observation deck, swimming pool, dining lounge, private owner’s office, art gallery, library and a heli hangar.
“Who is the owner of Stormbreaker? The type of person that when they see a storm, they want to go into it. The owner will go undaunted where only the bold dare; conquer the elements, explore the world and experience the exhilaration and tranquillity of global yachting first hand,” explained designer Theodoros Fotiadis.
“This yacht is for people who enjoy going off the grid and who enjoy experiencing something unique every time they are on board. A very different muse to more traditional cruising. There is plenty of scope to be creative with exterior styling and layout. As far as technical requirements and propulsion elements go, which in this case is diesel-electric, these are fully integrated from the outset,” he added.
