In a momentous ceremony attended by maritime authorities and representatives from the shipbuilding sector, Ferretti Group marked another milestone in its strategic expansion with the official inauguration of the new Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, graced by authorities and Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, signaled the opening of a pivotal operational hub within the Superyacht Yard. Nestled in Via Enrico Mattei, the refurbished building stands as a testament to modernity and functionality, poised to host the management team, design and planning offices, and the dedicated department for aluminum and steel boats.
Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, remarked, “2023 is a momentous year for us, filled with new developments and unprecedented growth: the dual listing in Milan and Hong Kong, the acquisition of the Ravenna shipyard, and today, here in Ancona, a new space that speaks to the future and Italian luxury."
Covering a sprawling 4,200 square meters, including 3,000 sqm of office space, the facility will house essential departments like the technical office, project management, purchasing, planning and control, logistics, production management, and boat foremen. Additionally, a chic reception area for customers sets a welcoming tone.
The interiors draw inspiration from the luxury yachts crafted by Ferretti Group, emphasizing customization akin to their yachts. Fine materials like leather, wood, and marble contribute to a personalized and meticulously detailed environment, mirroring the renowned craftsmanship of Ferretti vessels.
This strategic expansion solidifies the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard's status as a pivotal multi-brand yacht construction hub. From CRN super and megayachts to the entire Custom Line range, Riva yachts exceeding 50 meters, and Pershing 140 units, the yard is set to host the construction of an impressive array of vessels.
The Ancona shipyard, sprawling over 80,000 square meters, is specifically designed for pleasure vessels up to 90 meters in length. The facility boasts a 670-ton travel lift for launching steel and aluminum yachts up to 50 meters.
With nine high-tech sheds, the shipyard aims for parallel construction of up to 24 superyachts.
The Ferretti Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi, is now one of the world’s leaders in the construction and sale of luxury yachts and pleasure vessels, with a unique portfolio of brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line and Wally.
