Lomac is ready to show off its range-topping rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RIB) in all its glory.
The Italian yard will present the new GranTurismo 10.5 at the 64th edition of the Genoa Boat Show in late September. The model—which is already “a commercial success,” according to Lomac—takes design cues from the Club 1000 but features several innovations to increase comfort and performance.
Penned by Federico Fiorentino, the 35-footer has a completely redesigned console with a more muscular, streamlined look and greater headroom. The two helm seats have been reshaped, the dashboard refreshed, and the bow sofa revamped. The cockpit is equipped with plush wrap-around seating, a fridge, and a sink, meaning guests can enjoy alfresco hangouts at sea. The large sundecks forward and aft also feature pop-up tables that can seat nine guests for dinner parties.
The GranTurismo 10.5 has a larger interior than previous models, with a spacious cabin for up to two guests and a separate bathroom with a full-height shower. The RIB can welcome 20 seafarers in total and the high tubes allow guests to move about safely, Lomac says.
As for grunt, the GranTurismo 10.5 is equipped with two Yamaha V-6 outboard engines that churn out 350 horses each for a top speed of more than 50 knots. Seafarers can also opt for two, less powerful 250 hp outboards for a max speed of 45 knots. Lomac says the boat is capable of both medium-range cruising and adrenaline-inducing sprints. The yard adds that the Twinshell hull offers “superior sailing efficiency,” meaning the GranTurismo 10.5 will use less fuel than similar-sized competitors.
