China,   3,000 vessels flying its flag implementing the MLC 2006, will fulfil the obligations on working and living conditions across international waters, but will also drive global efforts to promote compliance with the Convention throughout the world.　

MLC 2006 represents over 80% of the world gross tonnage of shipping and China is now the 68th ILO member State to have ratified it – it will enter into force on 12 November 2016.
