Overblue Yachts has introduced Overblue 64, the new flagship in its portfolio. The Italian boatbuilder says this new model, the largest in the range, offers over 240sq m of living space, “which is comparable to superyachts”.
The company adds that the interior layout of the Overblue 64 is completely customisable and allows accommodation for up to 10 persons.
Onboard equipment that is available for customers include sauna, gym, fully functional business office and more.
“The Overblue 64 is also equipped with an optional pilot house on top where the captains quarters are completely separated from the living areas,” says Overblue Yachts sales manager Rok Babarovic.
The Overblue 64 is equipped with twin 600HP diesel engines providing 16ks cruising speed and 22ks maximum speed. The maximum range at 8ks is calculated to be 1,500 nm.
The boatbuilder expect to showcase the first Overblue 64 at the Cannes boat show in 2017.
Overblue Yachts is also working on Overblue Typhoon, a much bigger model. The first sketches of this power catamaran will be revealed beginning of 2017.
Since the company entered operations in early 2015, Overblue Yachts has reported a commercial success of its original multihull design.
“Overblue has sold nine OB44, two OB44WE and three OB54 to date,” says Babarovic.
Commenting on the strategy behind these sales, Babarovic told that contracts are generally signed following the showcase of this models at key boat international boat shows.
“We have attended six boat shows so far which will double in the next year with the premiers in Miami, Istanbul, Dubai, Sydney, Kuwait, Fort Lauderdale, etc. This will hopefully create an even bigger hype around the brand and demand further expansion.”
