Italy’s Sanlorenzo has announced the simultaneous launch of two 26m-plus vessels. The first unit, a SL86 planning motoryacht, was lowered to the water on Friday 24th by the staff in the Ameglia yard. Christened Stae, the 26m yacht made a splash in presence of her Ameriican owner and family.
The launching operation of another unit, a new SL96 model, was completed on the same day by the staff in Viareggo. Christened B&B, the 29m motoryacht is a planing hull built for a Turkish owner.
In addition, the shipyard has confirmed that Seven Sins, the recently launched first unit of Sanlorenzo 52Steel, nears delivery.
“The production continues with four explorer yachts (460Exp), the 11th unit of its 40m planning yacht (40Alloy), two further steel-hulled superyachts (52Steel) and a 64Steel,” says Mario Gornati, marketing and communication director at Sanlorenzo.
Sanlorenzo currently operates three different production sites within 50km from each other.
The Viareggio shipyard focuses on the construction of fibreglass vessels ranging from 29m to 38m, including model SL96, SL106, SL118, SD112, and SD126.
In Ameglia, the shipyard specialises in the production of fibreglass projects ranging from 24m to 28m in length, including the SL78, SL86, and SD92.
