The 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show came to a close with great success after the four day event, which was organised by the Greek Yachting As-sociation from 29 April to 2 May this year.
The historic port of Nafplion was the perfect location to host the show, providing a wonderful setting for the pleth-ora of crewed luxury yachts taking part and offering its warm hospitality to local and international attendees.
Having already secured its position as the most significant yachting event in the East Mediterranean, the 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show reaffirmed the importance of marine tourism in the region, attracting visitors from all over the globe. The event was officially launched on 29th April by the President of the Greek Yachting Association, Mr. Michael Skoulikidis, with the kind attendance of Mrs Elena Kountoura, Minister of Tourism, Mr. Petros Tatoulis, Regional Governor of the Peloponnese and Mr. Dimitris Koutsouros, the Mayor of Nafplion. A cocktail reception took place at the historic Palamidi Fortress to the sound of ‘Fortissimo’, the electric string quartet. Mr. Michael Skoulikidis took the opportunity to welcome attendees and to emphasise the importance of the show for the region and for all those involved in the yachting sector.

Countries Represented: Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Austria, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russian Federation, Spain, St. Kitts & Nevis, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Number of Exhibitors: 25 exhibitors stands displaying ancillary services and yachting supplies.
While attendees had the opportunity to view the impressive line up of yachts, on board parties provided a wonderful chance to meet their peers from the yachting world. The popular Chefs’ Competition once again proved to be an exciting chal-lenge for the talented participants over the course of the event, with the es-teemed Michelin star chefs Ettore Botrini and Lefteris Lazarou amongst the panel of judges. MYBA was also present to present an interactive seminar on the topic of ‘MYBA & the East Med’, which was chaired by Mrs. Fiona Maureso, the President of MYBA along with Mrs. Annemarie Gathercole, a Member of MYBA, Popy Kaia and Spiros Galanakis GYA Members.
The show was the ideal opportunity for attendees to be wined and dined with en-tertaining parties and over 24 such gatherings and events took place, some of them themed. There was ample opportunity for guests to dress up and enjoy a night of music and dance in the fabulous port of Nafplion.
The event came to a close on 2nd May with a farewell party at Karathonas Beach, bringing a celebratory finale to this year's show. The highlight of the night was the exciting announcement of the well deserved winners of the popular Chefs' Competition. Later on, crew attended a lively party which had been organised on their behalf by HYCA, with the support of the Greek Yachting Association.
Leading international yacht charter companies were present at this year’s show once again, such as Camper & Nicholsons, Edmiston & Company, Fraser Yachts, Yachting Partners International, Burgess, Charter World, CSO Yachts, IYC, Northrop & Johnson, Yachtzoo, Luxury Charter Group, West Nautical, GB Superyachts etc. Representatives of MYBA, The Worldwide Yachting Association, also attended the event.
The 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show was organized by the Greek Yachting Association under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism with the support of the Municipality of Nafplion and the Region of the Peloponnese.
