Vision Yachts, a South African catamaran shipyard based in Knysna, is holding the first European edition of Vision Days from August 28 to 30 in Port Ginesta, Spain. The event is part of the shipyard's ramp-up plan for its physical presence on the continent. Vision Yachts has invested in its presence in Europe for two years, with representation in the Balearic Islands (Palma) with Agulhas Marine, and, more recently, in the UK by S6 Marine and in Germany by Cat Sale.

About Vision Yachts
Vision Yachts has been building boats since 2017. The shipyard builds blue water sailing catamarans, designed to go off the beaten track. Its point of difference is a level of quality and finish that sets it apart from mass-production yards: nearly every boat delivered carries a lifetime after-sales support.
The shipyard's other defining feature centers on self-sufficiency at sea. Every technical system is grouped and installed to make maintenance straightforward, which encourages owners to service equipment and systems regularly rather than put it off.
The current range comprises two models, the 444 and the 444ES (extended sugar-scoop version), soon joined by a third, the 484, already in build and with 4 already ordered. The 444 won Best Cruising Catamaran Under 50 Feet at the 2024 Cruising World Boat of the Year Awards, the industry benchmark in North America. The 444ES is its direct evolution.
To date, 38 boats have been sold, mostly to North American owners, with boats also sailing the Indian Ocean, the Pacific and the Caribbean. Vision Days is part of the shipyard's ramp-up strategy for the European market, driven by its representations in Palma, the UK and Germany.
Vision Days: three days in Port Ginesta
From August 28 to 30, a line-up of three boats (one 444 and two 444ES) will be on display and under sail at Port Ginesta.
Daily program:
Morning: open boat visits, with the opportunity to discuss the range's available customization options.
Afternoon: sailing sessions.
Evening: a relaxed dinner bringing together prospects, owners, suppliers and shipyard staff in an informal setting.
A highlight of the event is the presence of the owners of the boats on display. Some have covered in one year what other crews take three years or more to achieve. Their first-hand feedback covers both the boats' condition and life on board, as well as the relationship they've built with the yard and how central after-sales service is to the Vision ownership experience. This feedback will be available to visitors throughout the three days.
Vision Days also welcomes shipyard partner suppliers: North Sails, Nanni, Gori Propellers, Parasailor, Integrel and Cyclops Marine. Their presence turns the event into a private mini boat show, where prospects and owners can explore the full range of technical choices and equipment specific to a blue water catamaran.
